Literature Text

You always change your hairstyle
You always change your face
You try to change your body
I just can't keep the pace

You slather on the makeup
You shed the pounds so quick
You try to get so thin
But you're already a stick

You tease your hair, you straighten it
You colour it in strips
You dye your hair so dark
But you were born with golden tips

You paint your face on every day
Although your skin's so clear
But I know that public scrutiny
Has always been your fear

Don't let the tabloids tell you
That you're just not good enough
You're beautiful the way you are
If they don't like it? Tough!
I was just thinking about how so many girls nowadays are always trying to change every aspect of their appearance, even though they're so much more beautiful just being themselves.

I really like this, you have a recurring flow in your poetry that just seems to soar through the reading. The meaning of the poem isn't hidden behind words, but it's just as powerful as if it was. You have a talent! :meow:
